20.- Hoy realizo un ensayo a la batería y acompañamiento vocal del tema "LA TORMENTA DE ARENA", en concreto del concierto que realizó la banda catalana "DORIAN" en el Festival Arenal Sound en el año 2015 en Burriana (Castellón) y que se materializó en la grabación del disco "DIEZ AÑOS Y UN DIA" . He escogido esta versión en directo sencillamente porque personalmente me gusta mas que la grabada en estudio en el año 2009 en el álbum "La ciudad subterránea", solo es cuestión de gustos.

DORIAN es uno de los grupos españoles con mayor proyección que canta en castellano, nacido en el año 2004 en Barcelona con influencias new wave al que podríamos encuadrarlo dentro del género indie pop electrónico. Está integrado por Marc Dorian (vocalista, letrista y compositor), Bart Sanz (bajo), Belly Hernández (sintetizadores, piano, arreglos y voces), Lisandro Montes (sintetizadores, guitarra, voz y arreglos) y Víctor López (batería y percusión). Actualmente llevan ya grabados 6 álbumes, 4 de estudio y 2 en directo.

19.- Hoy hago una versión libre a la batería del tema "PERSONAL JESUS", en concreto de la versión country que realizó en el año 2002 el cantante norteamericano "JOHNNY CASH" (1932 Kingsland (Arkansas) - 2003 Nashville (Tennesse)), ya que Cash la interpreta con la guitarra, acompañado de teclados y con arreglos de guitarra pero sin batería ni percusión.

Cash, característico por su voz profunda, es considerado uno de los cantantes y compositores más influyentes del siglo XX, destacando sobre todo por sus interpretaciones de los géneros: country, rock & roll, rockabilly, blues, folk y gospel. Sin embargo, algunos de sus temas mas famosos son versiones de otros grupos y estilos distintos al suyo pero a los que Cash les da un toque muy personal, como por ejemplo el tema que he elegido hoy PERSONAL JESUS que originalmente es de la banda "DEPECHE MODE" y con la que Cash consiguió llegar al puesto número 7 de la lista de las 100 mejores versiones de la historia de la música ligera anglosajona.

Johnny Cash vendió mas de 90 millones de álbumes durante toda su carrera musical. Forma parte del "Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll", "Salón de la Fama del Country", "Salón de Compositores de Nashville" y "Salón de la Fama del Gospel", de modo que al igual que ELVIS PRESLEY, es el único artista que está en salones de la fama de tres estilos distintos. En el año 2005 se estrenó la película "Walk the line" dirigida por James Mangold que cuenta la vida de Johnny Cash basándose en su propia autobiografía.

Sobre PERSONAL JESUS, destacar que es una versión del tema compuesto originalmente y publicado en el año 1989 por la banda británica de música electrónica "DEPECHE MODE". La canción fue un gran éxito de ventas en todo el mundo y curiosamente es la primera canción en la que el grupo utilizó una guitarra como instrumento principal, ya que básicamente siempre utilizaban teclados y sintetizadores en sus composiciones.

En cuanto a las versiones realizadas podemos destacar la realizada por Johnny Cash en 2002, Marilyn Manson y Richard Cheese en 2004, OBK en 2001, Gravity Kills en 2002, Acusicas (versión en castellano en 2006), Hilary Duff en 2008, Nina Hagen en 2010 y Sammy Hagar (ex-cantante de Van Halen) en 2013.
