Vamos hoy con una cover a la batería de la canción "IT'S MY LIFE" de la conocida banda de rock estadounidense "BON JOVI", la canción fue incluida en su séptimo álbum de estudio "CRUSH" grabado en el año 2000 llegando a ser un gran éxito de ventas y llegando al número uno de las listas de muchos países, siendo elegida como mejor canción rock en los "VH1 Awards 2000" y nominada como mejor canción rock en los premios "Grammy".
BON JOVI se formó en el año 1983 en Nueva Jersey por Jon Bon Jovi (Voz), estando actualmente en la banda Hugh McDonald (Bajo), David Bryan (Teclas), Tico Torres (Batería) y Phil X (Guitarra) que sustituyó a Richie Sambora en 2013 después de haber estado Richie 30 años en la banda. El grupo ha vendido más de 130 millones de discos, formando parte del Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll.

Hoy hago una cover a la batería de la canción "WALKING BY MYSELF" versioneada por GARY MOORE, ya que el tema original fue compuesto por James A. Lane, músico estadounidense conocido artísticamente como JIMMY ROGERS (1924 Ruleville. Misisipi - 1997 Chicago). JIMMY ROGERS fue cantante y guitarrista y está considerado como uno de los músicos precursores del blues de Chicago sobre todo entre las décadas de 1950 y 1960.
Robert William GARY MOORE nació en la ciudad de Belfast (Irlanda del Norte) el 4/4/1952 y falleció el 6/2/2011. Fue un guitarrista extraordinario además de vocalista, compositor y productor. Comenzó su carrera musical en 1968 con la banda "SKID ROW" donde coincidió con "PHIL LYNOTT" (Líder de "THIN LIZZY"). A finales de la década de los años 70 publicó varios discos como solista con influencias de sonidos como el blues, rock, blues rock y el hard rock. En los años 90 se centró en un sonido mas blues rock recibiendo influencias de otros sonidos mas rockeros, de heavy metal e incluso de la música celta. Como guitarrista, algunas de sus principales influencias provienen de músicos como Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green, B.B. King, Eric Clapton o Jimmy Page, entre otros. GARY MOORE ha publicado a lo largo de su carrera de mas de 40 años 18 discos de estudio y además ha trabajado también la grabación de guitarras para otros músicos como John Mayall, Mick Jagger, Cozy Powell, entre otros.
En cuanto a la canción elegida para hoy "WALKING BY MYSELF" fue incluida en el noveno álbum de estudio de GARY MOORE, "STILL GOT THE BLUES" publicado en 1990. Dicho álbum incluye temas como "STILL GOT THE BLUES (FOR YOU)", "TOO TIRED" o "TEXAS STRUT" y tuvo un gran éxito de ventas, alcanzando el puesto 83 en los Billboard 200 en EEUU, vendiendo allí mas de medio millón de copias y más de 300.000 copias en el Reino Unido. En concreto la canción WALKING BY MYSELF y TOO TIRED entraron en el "Top 100" de la lista "Singles Chart" del Reino Unido.

Aprovechando
el vídeo musical que grabamos días atrás tocando cada uno desde su casa debido
al confinamiento con mis amigos Dámaso Pérez (Guitarra y bajo) y Llanos Olivas
(Voz) del tema "AFTER DARK" de TITO & TARÁNTULA, (vídeo que os dejo publicado en esta entrada también), he
grabado un vídeo con un ensayo/cover a la batería exclusivamente de dicha
canción también y una breve explicación de la canción, sus autores y su
historia.
TITO & TARANTULA en un grupo mexicano/estadounidense de Rock Sureño, el
grupo se formó en el año 1995 en Hollywood (California) por el mexicano
Tito Larriva aunque en desde el año 1992 ya comenzó su andadura con el nombre
de "TITO & FRIENDS" tocando jam sessions en clubs y cafés de Los
Ángeles.
En cuanto a la canción AFTER DARK ha sido muy conocida a nivel mundial
especialmente por su aparición en la película en el año 1996 de terror, acción
y vampiros dirigida por Robert Rodríguez y escrita por Quentin Tarantino "ABIERTO
HASTA EL AMANECER" ("From dusk till dawn").
Mencionar también que Tito ya había colaborado anteriormente con Robert
Rodríguez en la película "DESPERADO". En la película ABIERTO
HASTA EL AMANECER la banda está tocando en un club nocturno y en dicha canción
aparece bailando la actriz mexicana y protagonista femenina Salma
Hayeck con una serpiente realizando una danza
muy sexy y exótica frente a un público entregado entre el que se encuentra el
actor George Cloney (También tenéis el vídeo mas abajo, no os lo perdáis).
Dicha canción mas tarde también se convirtió en la canción principal de la
banda sonora de la serie "From dusk till dawn". En la película
ABIERTO HASTA EL AMANECER demás de esta canción destacaría el tema "ANGRY
COCKROACHES" ("Cucarachas enojadas"), una canción muy cañera y
particular que identifica mucho el sonido de la banda influenciado
principalmente por el Rock Sureño, así como con toques de Hard Rock/Rock Duro y
con toques de Blues, dicha canción también apareció en el año 2007 en el
trailer de la película "Fred Claus". Muchos de sus temas, sobre todo
en directo tienen un inicio ritmicamente lento con un sonido oscuro,
atmosférico y misterioso con sus guitarras y terminan aumentando su intensidad
al final tanto vocal con instrumentalmente.
Destacar los siguientes álbumes publicados de la banda: Tarantism (1997),
Hungry Sally & Other killer lullabies (1999), Little bitch (2000),
Andalucía (2002), Back into the darkness (2008), Lost Tarantism (2015) y 8 Arms
to hold you (2019).

Taking
advantage of the music video that we recorded days ago playing each one from
his home due to confinement with my friends Dámaso Pérez (Guitar and bass) and
Llanos Olivas (Voice) of the song "AFTER DARK" by TITO &

recorded a video with a drums rehearsal / cover exclusively of that song as
well and a brief explanation of the song, its authors and its history.
TITO
& TARANTULA in a Mexican / American Sureño Rock group, the group was formed
in 1995 in Hollywood (California) by the Mexican Tito Larriva although in 1992
it already began its journey with the name "TITO & FRIENDS"
playing jam sessions in clubs and cafes in Los Angeles.
As
for the song AFTER DARK, it has been well known worldwide especially for its
appearance in the 1996 horror, action and vampire film directed by Robert

Vuelvo con otra banda nacional, en esta ocasión con "FITO
& FITIPALDIS" con su canción "ME
EQUIVOCARÍA OTRA VEZ". Esta banda de Rock
& Roll fue formada en 1998 por FITO CABRALES
(miembro también de PLATERO Y TÚ hasta que la banda se disolvió en 2001). El
primer disco de FITO & FITIPALDIS salió a la venta en 1998 "A PUERTA
CERRADA" y pronto consiguió el Disco de Platino.
El sonido de la banda es básicamente Rock & Roll
clásico, con toques de rythm & blues, rockabilly y swing y recibe
influencias nacionales de grupos como Leño y Extremoduro e internacionales como
Rolling Stones, Creedence, AC/DC y Status Quo, entre otros.
En lo referente a la canción elegida para el ensayo de hoy
ME EQUIVOCARÍA OTRA VEZ en la que he tenido la osadía de acompañar también a la
voz a FITO (Espero que me perdone jajaja), la canción fue publicada en el año
2006 en su cuarto álbum POR LA BOCA VIVE EL PEZ producido por Joe Blaney y
grabado en Girona en los estudios Music Lan.
La banda ha sido galardonada con numerosos premios como por
ejemplo en 2007 que recibió el Disco de Diamante por vender mas de un millón de
discos además de resultar ganador de premio a la mejor canción y mejor álbum de
rock y en 2008 ganador a la mejor gira en los Premios de la música. En
2009 mejor artista nacional de los Premios Ondas, mejor álbum de rock y
mejor producción musical audiovisual en los Premios de la música, mejor artista
solista en los Premios 40 Principales. En 2010 mejor canción, mejor álbum,
mejor álbum de rock y mejor producción musical audiovisual y en 2011 mejor
vídeo musical de los Premios de la música. En 2015 mejor grupo de rock
español en los Premios 40 Principales, mejor canción de rock de los Grammys
Latinos y mejor artista del año en los Premios Ondas, entre otros.
En cuanto a sus componentes actuales son: Adolfo
"Fito" Cabrales (Voz y guitarra), Carlos Raya (Guitarra), Joserra
Senperena (Teclados), Javier Alzola (Saxo), Alejandro "Boli" Climént

I'm back with another
national band, this time with "FITO & FITIPALDIS" with their song
"ME EQUIVOCARIA OTRA VEZ" (I WOULD BE WRONG AGAIN). This Rock &
Roll band was formed in 1998 by FITO CABRALES (also a member of PLATERO Y TÚ
until the band disbanded in 2001). The first FITO & FITIPALDIS album went
on sale in 1998 "A PUERTA CERRADA" and soon got the Platinum Record.
The band's sound is
basically classic Rock & Roll, with touches of rythm & blues,
rockabilly and swing and receives national influences from groups like Leño and

"HEROES" 15.- Hoy
le dedico mi humilde homenaje al genio del rock británico David Robert Jones
conocido por su nombre artístico como "DAVID BOWIE" (que
desgraciadamente nos dejó este año (8/1/1947 - 10/1/2016) aunque siempre estará
con nosotros a través de sus canciones) realizando un drum cover del tema
"HEROES". Aprovecho la ocasión para darle las gracias a mi hermano mayor (José Vicente) por tener tan buen gusto, ya que gracias a los discos en vinilo que él compraba pude conocer siendo un adolescente a Bowie y otras bandas de hard rock de los 70 como Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Bad Company, etc.
Bowie fue
un adelantado a su época, muy innovador, con un estilo muy personal, rompiendo
muchos cánones establecidos y también muy polifacético (músico, cantante,
productor, arreglista y actor, entre otras facetas artísticas).
En el año 2002 la cadena de televisión BBC
realizó una encuesta de los100 británicos más importantes y colocó a Bowie en el
puesto número 29. Ha vendido unos 136 millones de discos a lo largo de su
carrera. Ha recibido 9 discos de platino,11 de oro y 8 de plata en el Reino
Unido y 5 de platino y 7 de oro en Estados Unidos. En 2004, la revista Rolling
Stone le posicionó en el puesto
número 39 de su lista de los cien artistas de rock más importantes de todos
los tiempos y en el puesto 23 de su lista de los mejores cantantes de todos los
tiempos.
El tema "HEROES" fue incluido en el álbum con el mismo nombre "HEROES" publicado en
1977 en el Reino Unido donde alcanzó el puesto número 24 del UK singles chart y
el número 8 en Irlanda, entre otros. La letra fue escrita entre Bowie y Brian
Eno.
La
canción ha sido versioneada y cantada en varios idiomas por muchísimos grupos
tales como: Peter Gabriel, The Wallflowers, Oasis, Blondie, Bon Jovi, King Crimson, The
Samshing Pumpkins e incluso el Dj David Guetta con el título "Just for One
