 Hoy vamos con una banda nacional "SECOND" con su canción "RODAMOS"  grabada en directo. La banda nació en Murcia en el año 1997 y sus miembros actuales fundadores son Sean Frutos (Voz) y Jorge Guirao (Guitarra) además de Nando Robles (Bajo), Javi Vox (Guitarra y teclados) y Fran Guirao (Batería). En directo se suelen reforzar con David Lozano (Guitarra) y Ricardo Ruiz (Teclados). Otros músicos que han pasado por la formación: Javi Vox (Guitarra), Pedro Marco y Alejandro Garriga (Baterías) y Eduardo Fajardo (Guitarra).

En cuando al sonido de la banda podríamos decir que se mueve dentro del Indie, Indie-Rock, Indie-Pop y el Britpop con bastantes influencias de bandas británicas de los 80 sobre todo en sus inicios.

SECOND comenzó cantando en inglés lanzando al mercado su primer disco "PRIVATE LIFE" en el año 2000 aunque ya en el año 2005 en su disco "INVISIBLE" comienzan a incorpora letras en castellano a su repertorio, en 2009 lanzan "FRACCIONES DE UN SEGUNDO" y para la canción "RODAMOS" graban un videoclip en la Gran Vía de Murcia congregando a unos 3000 seguidores. La banda ha sido galardonada con dos de los premios de la Música y la Creación Independiente, el premio Pop-Eye 2011(Mejor Artista Nacional y Mejor Videoclip "MUÉRDEME").

En cuanto a la versión escogida para hoy de "RODAMOS" no he elegido su versión grabada en estudio sino la que grabaron en directo en el Teatro Circo de Murcia en el concierto en el que la banda celebraba su 15º aniversario, en dicho evento el grupo estuvo arropado además por un cuarteto de cuerda y tres metales. Personalmente me gusta mas esta versión que la de estudio, creo que desprende mas fuerza y energía pero esto es solo cuestión de gustos y como dice la letra de la canción ..."rodamos y sudamos mientras nos queda un soplo de aliento"....

SECOND began singing in English by launching their first album "PRIVATE LIFE" in 2000, although in 2005 on their album "INVISIBLE" they began to incorporate Spanish lyrics into their repertoire, in 2009 they released "FRACCIONES DE UN SEGUNDO" and for the song "RODAMOS" they record a video clip on the Gran Vía de Murcia, bringing together about 3000 followers. The band has been awarded two of the Independent Music and Creation awards, the Pop-Eye Award 2011 (Best National Artist and Best Music Video "MUÉRDEME").

Regarding the version chosen for today of "RODAMOS" I have not chosen its version recorded in the studio but the one that was recorded live at the Teatro Circo de Murcia in the concert in which the band celebrated its 15th anniversary, in that event the group it was also supported by a string quartet and three brass. Personally I like this version more than the studio version, I think it gives off more strength and energy but this is just a matter of taste and as the lyrics of the song say ... "we roll and sweat while we have a breath of breath left" .. ..

 "SATELLITE" es la canción escogida para el ensayo de hoy a la batería, del grupo estadounidense "RISE AGAINST", la banda se formó en el año 1999 en Chicago con el nombre inicial de "TRANSISTOR REVOLT" y dos años después cambiaron al nombre actual. La banda transmite un sonido muy contundente pero acompañado de voces que alternan la melodía y la fuerza vocal, recibe influencias del Punk-Rock, Hardcore-Punk y Hardcore melódico de diversas bandas como Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Face to Face, Down by Law, Minor Threat, Screeching Weasel, Cave In, Descendents, Black Flag o Refused.

El grupo está integrado actualmente por Tim Mcilrath (Voz y guitarra rítmica) y Joe Príncipe (Bajo y coros) como miembros fundadores , Zach Blair (Guitarra solista y coros desde 2007), y Brandon Barnes (Batería desde el año 2000); aunque han pasado por ella también los siguientes músicos: Toni Tintari (Batería 1999-00), Dan Wleklinski "Mr Precision" (Guitarra 1999-01), Kevin White (Guitarra 2001-02), Todd Mohney (Guitarra 2002-04) y Chirs Chasse (Guitarra 2004-07). 

En cuanto a la temática de sus letras, el grupo suele aprovechar para denunciar temas de injusticia social, maltrato animal, daños a la ecología, etc. Al margen del tema musical comentar que todos los miembros del grupo actual son vegetarianos y excepto Brandon Barnes son miembros activos de PETA (Organización a favor de los derechos de los animales) y son "straight edge" lo que implica que se abstienen del consumo de alcohol y drogas..

 "CA IN JULY" es el tema elegido para el ensayo de hoy a la batería, pertenece a la banda de Punk-Rock estadounidense "THE BOMBPOPS". La banda californiana se formó en San Diego en el año 2007 y está integrada por Jen Razavi y Poli Van Dam como líderes fundadoras a la voz y guitarras, además de estar acompañadas por Neil Wayne al bajo y Josh Lewis a la batería, aunque la formación ha tenido varios cambios desde su nacimiento, de hecho han pasado 6 bajistas y 3 bateristas distintos, lo que influyó para que la banda no lanzara al mercado su primer álbum "Fear of Missing Out" hasta el año 2017 aunque en el noviembre de 2010 ya lanzaron su primer EP de debut de forma independiente "LIKE I CARE".

El sonido del grupo si quisieramos etiquetarlo creo que encajaría sobre todo en la onda Pop-Punk con ritmos muy rápidos conjugados con voces melódicas y estribillos pegadizos, aunque tiene diversas influencias de grupos punk, punk-rock, post-punk, skate-punk y pop-punk sobre todo de la década de los 90, como Bad Religion, Green Day, Blink 182, Epitaph Records y Fat Wreck Chords, entre otros.

 "I WANNA LIVE" es el título de la canción que he escogido para el ensayo de hoy a la batería, traducida significa algo así como "QUIERO VIVIR", entre otros motivos por eso la he elegido ya que estamos pasando por momentos difíciles, y en esos momentos es cuando creo que tenemos que sacar lo mejor de nosotros mismos y luchar con fuerza para salir adelante, echo de menos compartir los ensayos y bolos con compañer@s de grupo así que mucho ánimo a tod@s, muy pronto saldremos de ésta. 

La canción (escrita por Dee Dee Ramone y Daniel Rey) pertenece al álbum "HALFWAY TO SANITY" grabado en 1987 por los RAMONES, mítica banda neoyorkina de Punk-Rock formada en 1974 y disuelta en 1996. Los RAMONES fueron un grupo pionero en el género Punk creando un estilo muy particular con canciones aparentemente sencillas pero en muchos casos de difícil ejecución al trabajar con ritmos trepidantes y letras en muchos casos repetitivas que contrastaban con el sonido de los grupos que triunfaban en la década de los 70 como por ejemplo eran las bandas de Rock Sinfónico con canciones mas complejas, con mayor instrumentación y letras enigmáticas. 

RAMONES recogió influencias del Surf-Rock, Rockabilly de los 50, Garaje; y, de grupos diversos como The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Beatles y The Who, entre otros de los años 60/70. RAMONES ha sido una de las bandas mas influyentes en grupos con sonidos Punk, Punk-Rock, Post-Punk, entre otros. Publicaron en total de 21 discos, 14 de ellos de estudio, el resto en directo y recopilatorios con un total de 212 canciones. Consiguieron dos discos de oro y dos de sus álbumes consiguieron meterse en el top 50 en el Billboard estadounidense aunque sus discos sencillos no llegaron a ser top en las ventas. En 2002 la banda fue incluida en el Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame y en 2011 recibió un premio Grammy en reconocimiento a su trayectoria musical.

- DEE DEE RAMONE (Douglas Glenn Colvin, Bajo y vocalista entre 1974-89). 1951-2002.
- RICHIE RAMONE (Richard Rinhardt, Batería y coros entre 1983-87). Nacido en 1957.
