"MALDITO DUENDE"

Hoy toca un tema emblemático del Pop-Rock nacional (Made in Spain), se trata de la canción "MALDITO DUENDE" del mítico grupo de rock español "HÉROES DEL SILENCIO", tema incluido en el álbum "SENDEROS DE TRAICIÓN" publicado en Noviembre de 1990, si bien en marzo de 1991 la canción salió al mercado como CD sencillo y posteriormente apareció también en varios recopilatorios y directos de la banda. Podríamos etiquetar la canción como una balada rock con el estilo característico del sonido de HEROES DEL SILENCIO con la potente voz de Enrique Bunbury, los particulares arpegios de la guitarra de Juan Valdivia complementados con una sólida y potente base rítmica.
El álbum fue el segundo álbum de estudio de la banda y con el que consiguieron llegar al número uno en España, fue grabado en Madrid y mezclado en Londres, contando con la producción de Phil Manzanera (Exmiembro de Roxy Music). Probablemente para muchos entre los que me incluyo se trate del mejor disco de HEROES DEL SILENCIO incluyendo otras canciones como "ENTRE DOS TIERRAS" donde fusionaron sonidos provenientes del Hard Rock, Rock Gótico, Rock Épico y el Pop-Rock, recibiendo influencias de bandas como The Cult, Led Zeppelin o New Model Army. La revista Rolling Stone consideró en el año 2009 el álbum "SENDEROS DE TRAICIÓN" como el segundo mejor disco de rock español de la historia.
"HEROES DEL SILENCIO" nació a mediados de los años 80 en Zaragoza y sus miembros fundadores fueron Enrique Bunbury (Voz y guitarra rítmica), Juan Valdivia (Guitarra solista), Joaquín Cardiel (Bajo) y Pedro Andreu (Batería). La banda se mantuvo durante 12 años hasta el año 1996, llegando a dar mas de 1000 conciertos y vender mas de 6 millones de discos en más de 37 países. En el año 2007 regresaron con una pequeña gira de 10 conciertos en España y América titulada "Héroes del Silencio Tour 2007" pero una vez finalizada la gira ya se separaron definitivamente.

In the year 2007 they returned with a small tour of 10 concerts in Spain and America entitled "Héroes del Silencio Tour 2007" but once the tour was over they separated definitively.
