del famoso grupo de pop inglés "THE
BEATLES"
que triunfaron en la década de los años 1960 hasta que se disolvió
en 1970. El grupo de Liverpool se formó en 1962 por John Lennon
(guitarra y voz), Paul McCartney (bajo y voz), George Harrison
(guitarra y voz) y Ringo Starr (batería y voz) aunque inicialmente
en el año 1960 el bajo lo tocaba Stuart Sucliffe y la batería Pete
Best. Los Beatles ganaron 7 premios Grammy, además de conseguir un
Oscar en año 1971 como mejor banda sonora original en la película
“Let it be”, entre otros muchos premios.
La
canción "COME TOGETHER" fue escrita por John Lennon
contando con la colaboración de Paul McCartney. La publicaron en
septiembre del año 1969 en su álbum "ABBEY ROAD" y
también como single un mes después, llegando a alcanzar el número
1 en las listas de Estados Unidos y entrando entrando en el top 10 en
las listas del Reino Unido. La revista Rolling Stone la clasificó en
la posición 205 dentro de su lista de las 500 mejores canciones de
todos los tiempos.
Muchos
músicos y grupos de estilos diferentes han tocado versiones de este
tema, como por ejemplo: Elton John, Aerosmith, Michael Jackson, Axl
Rose con Bruce Springteen, George Benson, Enrique Bunbury, Joe
Cocker, Marilyn Manson y Def Leppard entre otros.
