"HEROES"

tales como: Peter Gabriel, The Wallflowers, Oasis, Blondie, Bon Jovi, King Crimson, The
Samshing Pumpkins e incluso el Dj David Guetta con el título "Just for One
Day (Heroes), en castellano Parálisis Permanente, Richard Coleman, Fricción y

"HEROES"
15.- Today I dedicate my humble tribute to the genius of British rock David Robert Jones known by his stage name as "DAVID BOWIE" (who unfortunately left us this year (1/8/1947 - 1/10/2016) although he will always be with us through their songs) performing a drum cover of the song "HEROES". I take this opportunity to thank my older brother (José Vicente) for having such good taste, since thanks to the vinyl records he bought I was able to meet Bowie and other hard rock bands from the 70s like Led as a teenager. Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Bad Company, etc.
Bowie was ahead of his time, very innovative, with a very personal style, breaking many established canons and also very versatile (musician, singer, producer, arranger and actor, among other artistic facets).
In 2002 the BBC television network conducted a poll of the 100 most important British people and placed Bowie at number 29. He has sold some 136 million records over the course of his career. He has received 9 platinum, 11 gold and 8 silver records in the UK and 5 platinum and 7 gold in the United States. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him 39th on its list of the 100 Greatest Rock Artists of All Time and 23rd on its list of the Greatest Singers of All Time.
The song "HEROES" was included in the album with the same name "HEROES" released in 1977 in the United Kingdom where it reached number 24 on the UK singles chart and number 8 in Ireland, among others. The lyrics were written between Bowie and Brian Eno.
The song has been covered and sung in several languages by many groups such as: Peter Gabriel, The Wallflowers, Oasis, Blondie, Bon Jovi, King Crimson, The Samshing Pumpkins and even Dj David Guetta with the title "Just for One Day ( Heroes), in Spanish Permanent Paralysis, Richard Coleman, Friction and Los Mecánicos, among others.
I have chosen the song performed live by Bowie at a 2002 concert in Paris. I have also later added a version played with my pop-rock group LUBALLY ROAD on 02/16/19, many thanks to my colleagues: Christine Torelló (Vocalist), Pedro Sabater (Guitar) and Andrés Palencia (Bass).

LETRA:
“HEROES”
(DAVID BOWIE)
I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing, will drive them away
We can beat them, just for one day
We can be heroes, just for one day
And you, you can be mean
And I, I'll drink all the time
'Cause we're lovers, and that is a fact
Yes, we're lovers, and that is that
Though nothing, will keep us together
We could steal time, just for one day
We can be heroes, forever and ever
What'd you say?
I, I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim
Though nothing, nothing will keep us together
We can beat them, forever and ever
Oh, we can be heroes, just for one day
I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can be heroes, just for one day
We can be us, just for one day
I, I can remember (I remember)
Standing, by the wall (by the wall)
And the guns, shot above our heads (over our heads)
And we kissed, as though nothing could fall (nothing could fall)
And the shame, was on the other side
Oh, we can beat them, forever and ever
Then we could be heroes, just for one day
We can be heroes
We can be heroes
We can be heroes
Just for one day
We can be heroes
We're nothing, and nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying, then you better not stay
But we could be safer, just for one day
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
